Dear Prayer Warriors and Brothers and Sisters
in Christ,
We received the following update from our dear brother, Brian Eshleman. Please
join us in offering up a prayer of praise and thanksgiving for new opportunities
for Brian!!! Please also continue to pray for Brian and this transition with
his job, for Jennifer as she takes on the responsibility for transporting Brian
and for her job search in Winston. Please also pray that God will continue to
use Brian for His glory. We know that you will all continue to encourage this
family through your prayers and that God will continue to work for what is best
for them. All glory and praise to our GREAT AND POWERFUL GOD!!!
Love in Him,
Gary and Vickie
From Brian:
As difficult as this has been, I should not be surprised that our Heavenly Father
is in control. The logistics are considerably more difficult in terms of transportation,
I have more straightforward opportunities here without having to navigate the
gauntlet I have been living with, worrying about, and blaming myself for for
the past year. Please pray for my wife as she takes on a transportation burden
that would be considerably lighter if she were able to find a job in Winston-Salem.
Please continue to pray for my success here, both in terms of developing healthy
God -glorifying relationships and in terms of productivity with a new set of
clients. Please also pray for my successor who had no part in the transfer but
is walking into a very difficult situation. Pray for my former clients that
they would continue to succeed perhaps even more so than before. Please pray
for my continued opportunities to glorifying God and helping people in the wider
world that are on hold for right now. So were John's on Patmos, and in Revelation
10 where I read in my chapter by chapter study this morning. God makes it clear
that His Words will go through John to the wider world. I pray that that would
be so with me even as, like John, I'm having to ingest some bitter stuff.
Dear Prayer Warriors and Brothers and Sisters
in Christ,
Thank you all for the many prayers offered up on behalf of our dear sister,
Anni Watts. She returned to the surgeon this afternoon for her report on the
tissue taken as well as the pathology of the lymph nodes taken. The additional
tissue taken was clean, but the lymph nodes that drained the breast showed cancer
cells. What this means is that now they will go back in and remove all the other
lymph nodes under the arm and check them for cancer cells.
Anni will be going in to the surgical center on Monday at 7:30 am for this procedure.
They will remove all the lymph nodes under the arm (approximately 20 or so)
going in through the same incision, but enlarging it. She will have to have
a drainage tube inserted as well. Please pray that this procedure will go well,
that the nodes taken will be clean and that her recovery will go well. They
will be putting her completely under for this, so please pray that her vital
signs will remain stabilized throughout the procedure and afterwards. She tends
to have problems with her blood pressure bottoming out at times. Let's all be
fervent in prayer for this dear sister, asking that God's hand be with her and
the surgeon.
We truly do serve an AWESOME GOD and Anni trusts Him completely. Her faith remains
strong and her outlook is wonderful. Please continue to lift her up to our GREAT
PHYSICIAN, asking for complete healing and for strength, comfort and peace for
her and the family. Anni and Billy truly have appreciated your concern, encouragement
and show of love to them through all the prayers offered up. Let's continue
to pray, pray, and pray knowing that our God is faithful to hear and answer!!!
Love in Him,
Gary and Vickie
Dear Prayer Warriors and Brothers and Sisters
in Christ,
We received the following email from our dear sister, Linda Pearson. Please
prayerfully consider if you might be able to help Selena and Robert with some
tutoring. We know that the transition to NC is difficult enough for them without
the news that they might have to repeat the school year hanging over them. If
you are unable to help, please pray that God will bring the right person from
our church family to them, that they will be able to learn the material needed
and that God will help them not to feel pressured and stressed out about this.
Please also pray for Sabrina, that God will give her peace and that she will
continue to trust in Him and know that He is in control. Thanks so much for
your prayers and your help for this family. We know that God will bless you
as much as He blesses these children through you!!!
Love in Him,
Gary and Vickie
From Linda:
Selena and Robert need some tutoring help. They are struggling with school.
Both of their teachers have told Sabrina her children both need to be held back
next school year. As you can imagine this is very upsetting for Sabrina. I know
we have many teachers at Northview, and I wanted to ask if anyone would be willing
to tutor them just a couple hours a week. Sabrina can not afford to pay for
tutoring. I told her that maybe someone at Church would help. They are going
to the after school tutoring a couple days a week, but I am afraid that is not
enough. How thankful I am for our loving Church family, and we are in need of
some of that love. Thanks for your help.
Love, Linda
