Mission & Ministries

Our Mission

Our mission as an assembly of people who belong to the Lord is explicitly spelled out in the following statements of Jesus:

37 Jesus replied:"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
Matthew 22

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28
Our mission is summed up in the following statement:
Northview exists to glorify God by helping people
KNOW Jesus,
GROW to be like Him, and
SHOW Him to the world.

All our ministries in some form or fashion are to support this mission. We are in the people business and seek to develop an environment where we can help one another know Jesus better, and encourage one another to be continually developing a Jesus style character, and thus influence the people around us for God.
We want to develop this environment that will be attractive
to the people of our community so we can assist them in coming
to know Jesus, growing to be like Him, and then they in turn
will show Him to their world.
May we work together united in this effort for the glory of
our God.
