The "Royal Heir Force" is for boys 1st - 6th grades,
a ministry of NorthView Church of Christ
and meets every Wednesday at 6pm.

Royal Heir Force
will suspend for the Summer.

Monthly Calendar

RHF Motto: "Now if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory." Romans 8:17

RHF Pledge: "As a RHF cadet, I will do my best to follow Christ and know His Word, to be Christ-like in all things, to be a messenger of Christ to those around me, and to maintain myself in the mind of Christ, the body of Christ, and the Spirit of Christ." Boys must be able to recite both the Motto and pledge to earn their first patch, which is the squadron patch.

RHF Values: this is the core of the educational and mentoring curriculum for the entire 6 yr RHF journey: Faith, Loyalty, Honesty, Self-Discipline, Friendship, Commitment, Respect, Responsibility, Team Work, Courage, Compassion, and Knowledge.

Squadron Rules: no violence; abusive language of any kind; respect of others and their property; must remain with squadron supervisors at all times.

Some merit badges they will be earning: community service, first aid, bible memorization, recruiting, team work, leadership, attendance, campcraft, camp fire safety, knots, forestry, citizenship, fishing, good conduct, conducting flight lesson and others.

Cadets already have been given their first assignment: they must contact an elder of NorthView Church of Christ and interview them about their decision to become a Christian and what it's like to be an elder in the church.

Comment from one parent after only 2 meetings: "I was worried about [him] doing memory verses because I knew how he was. So I decided on Saturday night lets try one line and see how it goes. In less than an hour he had the whole thing (Romans 8:17) memorized." That cadet was the first to recite his memory verse in front of the whole flight and did so flawlessly.

There is no application or joining cost for RHF program but cadets are expected to purchase their own uniform. This can be accomplished at the local Army-Navy surplus store, as well as other sources. Special activities and supplies may require fees to defer materials and usage costs. Some scholarship moneys may be available for financial hardships-see Michael Hendershot, RHF Squadron Commander.
